As of January 30, 2006, 2,238 US troops and as many as 100,000 Iraqi civilians have been killed. In addition, the $251 billion spent on the war to date (less than a quarter of the war's $1.3 trillion total projected cost) could have been used to fully immunize every child in the world while also fully funding global anti-hunger and HIV/AIDS programs.
