Iran launched 'secret' rocket test
IRAN secretly tested a new surface-to-surface missile (SSM) on January 17, seeking to establish the measurements needed for long-range missiles, the German daily Die Welt reported in its issue to appear today.

The test, conducted by members of the Revolutionary Guard led by Yahya Rahim Safavi, was successful, according to Western diplomats cited by the newspaper, which did not indicate the location where the test took place.

1. Doesn't appear to be secret.
And, just in case you were wondering, Iran is a sovereign nation that can test and develop such weapons as it sees fit.

Meanwhile the IAEA rejected attempts by member nations to include a nuclear free middle east requirement with their report recommending Iran be reported to the security council. The rejection of a nuclear free middle east proposal was demanded by the United States, which views such requests as an implicit demand for nuclear parity with Israel. The hypocrisy of our position is of course not exactly front page news.

Have we got our war on yet? Iran's reaction was to terminate discussions with Russia regarding uranium enrichment and to announce that it would be doing its own enrichment instead and that IAEA on-demand inspections were no longer going to be allowed.

Watch closely to see which of our Democratic leaders get on the war train.
