As if you all didn't know. LOL
Here is a link to a great summary of how the rw is getting out the message about Cindy's arrest at the SOTU. Even AFTER the real story has been widely distributed, they STILL claim she broke the law. Many are calling for Rep. Woolsey's impeachment. (She committed the grave sin of giving Cindy a ticket to the SOTU.)
I thought something was up when I kept seeing the koolaid drinkers saying that Cindy had put up a fuss when asked to leave while the Republican congressman's wife had gone peacefully. :wtf?:
Notice that one of the leaders in this disinformation campaign is michelle malkin. :puke: That is clue #1, ladies and gentlemen.
I know you don't like reading this crap, but we need to know where they are coming from. That is the only way we can discredit them. And we HAVE to do that before we can take our country back.
http://glenngreenwald.blogspot.com/2006/02/when-does-self-correcting-blogosphere.htmlBefore the Capitol Police acknowledged yesterday that there was no legal basis for removing, let alone arresting, Cindy Sheehan -- to the contrary, they admitted that they "screwed up" because "Sheehan didn't violate any rules or laws" -- numerous Bush followers in the blogosphere were celebrating Sheehan's detention on the ground that she broke the law. Many of them were calling for all sorts of punishments to be imposed on Rep. Lynn Woolsey, who invited Sheehan to the speech and therefore aided and abetted her "illegal" behavior.
As we now know (and as should have been at least instinctively apparent to anyone with an understanding of America's most basic political values), Sheehan broke no laws or rules of any kind. Thus, all of those bloggers who were so frantically running around accusing her of law-breaking and violating the rules, and therefore defending her removal and arrest, were simply wrong.
We hear so much -- especially from those types -- about how the blogosphere is so superior to the "MSM" because the blogosphere humbly self-corrects its own errors while the MSM stonewalls and digs in. While some parts of the blogosphere certainly "self-correct," other parts clearly do not.
Let's review some of the commentary of certain bloggers yesterday regarding Cindy Sheehan's illegal and rule-violating behavior, shall we? Then we can see how "self-correcting" and laden with integrity the blogosphere is:
