Social Security equals welfare....
That asshole Johnny Hart has done it again. After I gagged my way thru the editorial pages on the local paper. (San Diego Union Tribune - A Copley RW rag) I turned to the funnies for a little humor therapy.

"Did our welfare checks come yet?" "You mean Social Security checks?" "Whatever."

Go ahead... teach your fundiesheep followers that SS is the same as welfare, Johnny.... maybe they won't take theirs when the time comes. More for me, shithead!

1. He's gotta be like 90 or so.

2. let's see, what else is wrong with this...
the u.s. mail is as slow as a turtle
and
welfare/social security recipients are snakes in the grass.

think all that symbolism is an accident? I don't.

3. I wish they'd told me that before I paid for mine all my life don't ...

10. And they have the infernal gall to sneer at what they are
pleased to call the "Nanny State"! The people who pay taxes are supposed to want it to go to the "Psychopath
State" instead! What moronic, thieving right-wing scum. They make darned sure the tax-payers' money goes to their good selves, the snakes-in-suits, anyway - whether we like it or not. Give us back our Nanny State, you thieving low-lifes! It was never meant for you!

4. God, I wish the Repubs would start calling Social Security
welfare, I really do. No more of this "we're trying to strengthen SS through private accounts." Tell the truth of your philosophy.

9. Poppy's Bush's government pension is what I'd call welfare.
Handing out Billions of dollars to the Oil Companies last year in Bush's energy bill is what I call giving welfare checks to people who don't deserve it. Then we see that last year EXXON made over 39 billion and The Queen's, Royal Dutch Shell, made over 25 billion, and the Saudis built a god damned giant ski slope indoors, in the 120 degree desert, because they had nothing better to spend all the money on, that Bush helped them steal from you and me.

5. I wonder if private pension plans are "welfare" too
They are funded the same way.

8. Well, that sounds fair to me...
No, SS is not "welfare". Then again, what's wrong with "promoting the general welfare"?

6. Are you sure he's conservative?
Could also be pointing out to conservatives that they don't like welfare, but social security is a welfare type program. I always get Republican seniors on this. They always respond, "Yeah, I have to think about that a bit."

12. Fine!
Give me back every stinking dime I paid into SS and I won't collect!

Like my grandpa used to say... Jesse James had a horse and two guns. All these guys have is a building, but they rob you just the same.
