Here, we say "Look at this statement, its false, here is proof, etc."

There, they say "Look at this guy, what a dork! Haha! Bush rules, you lost!"
i.e. they have no way to rebut the facts, so they ad hominem the posters.

I don't think I've ever seen a Freeper (or other site poster) ever refute anything posted on DU.

8. They're utterly OBSESSED with us.

You'll note that there is NO section of DU that is devoted to people who go over to those rightwing websites, then report about what they're doing, in minute, obsessive detail.

However, there are an AWFUL lot of those various freep-type websites (actually, most of them) that DO have a section just for people to "report" on what we're doing here.

To quote from one of my prior posts, explaining what the average freeper is like:

They're kind of the Internet version of the neighborhood loser who lives in his momma's basement at 34 years old, never bathes, doesn't have a job, and spends all of his time wanking to porn and bitching about how everyone else has it so much better than him.

On summer evenings, he can be found hiding in a hedge, watching the other neighbors getting together for a BBQ, having fun and laughing together and enjoying life. He squats there in the hedge and mumbles all kinds of "sour grapes" insults about the neighbors to himself, but he can't help watching them anyway, because he's utterly eaten up with envy...though he'll deny it to the death.

That's what freepers are, and why so many of them read everything we say here, and try to crash the party as well.
