THE DEMOCRATIC Central Committee of Marin approved a resolution Thursday night that calls for the impeachment of President Bush for what it considers to be illegal domestic wiretapping of American citizens.

"As Americans, we have to stand up when we see a situation where the rule of law is put at issue," said Paul Apffel, the committee secretary who initiated the resolution.

There's a clear line of succession in place.
