just finished a Zogby poll

about what is true happiness to you - does success mean financial or other, image and brand recognition(!), and do you plan to leave the u.s. and if so why and for how long. the last part was pretty timely considering some of the threads lately. dragndust mentioned the poll here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=364x326943

1. I know, I just did that poll too

and thought Zogby had some weird ideas of what constitutes success. I guess his past as a consumer pollster is showing.

I was surprised he'd picked up on that leaving the country idea, though. I do advise the best and brightest that the next few years spent abroad would probably be a whole lot better than spending the next few years here, fruitlessly searching for a job that is no longer here. I just hope that once we manage to drive out the thieves and fools in both parties and drive a stake into the black heart of social Darwinism that they'll be able to come back and prosper here.

In the meantime, Zogby aint dumb. He may be the first pollster to pick up on that, the need for the young to leave if they want to succeed at all.

2. Hey, something weird happened when I did that poll.

Usually they finish out with age, gender, marital status, etc.and ends with a closing page, "Thank you for participating...blah, blah, blah. But this time I got to the "Are you considering leaving the U.S.?" questions and I had just answered the "Which country are you considering?" question when it automatically popped me out to the Zogby web page. I couldn't get back in to the survey. It said I had already completed it.

Did this happen to any one else? :tinfoilhat:

I had the exact same thing happen. I had started a poll a few days ago and not finished it so at first I thought it was that one.

Just in case someone might think "yes" caused the abupt end to that poll, it happened to me too. Strange.
