Bernie Sanders has collapsed

Rep Sanders was attending the funeral a NGman who was killed in Iraq. Sanders was speaking and left the stage, where he collapsed in the bathroom.

He could have had a fluctuation in his blood sugar, maybe he over-worked himself over the week end, or was over-heated for some reason, like you suggest. It could be anything. I'm sure we'll know tomorrow. I'm relieved too. He's a great man.:hug:

Sanders left the service while it was still going on in the gymnasium at Richford High School, then apparently fell to the floor in the lobby. He lay on the floor outside a restroom for a few minutes before being helped into the restroom. Ambulance crews attended to him for more than half an hour and then he walked to the ambulance unassisted.

"I feel all right," he told reporters as he left the building. "My wife had a flu. I'm fine."

Sanders was attending the funeral of Army National Guard Sergeant Joshua Johnson of Richford who was killed in Iraq late last month.

20. If it's the California flu I had, I'm not surprised it flattened him

I was flat for about 2 weeks, and only dragged myself to a vertical position because of a family emergency here in Florida that I had to get to and deal with.

It's the worst flu that I can remember in the past 20 years. It's a real stinker.

worst....I think I'm over the hump, but when I hit the peak, my body could barely move, I ached all over, had vertigo and was throwing up and my head felt like it was in a vice.

Hey, maybe if we survived this flu, we can survive the avian flu....???
