At a psychiatrist office? The Watergate? If so, poor tricky-Dick was ill-treated.

1. Since they are claiming that they can have anyone killed...
...anywhere in the world (including inside US borders), at any time, including US citizens, I'd imagine that a mere break-in would be covered.

It's so good to know that no matter where I am in the world, the US President feels he has the power and the right to have me killed.

I'm not sure even King George III claimed that right...he had to follow the Magna Carta, after all.

3. He can do whatever the courts will let him do.
Until some agency of the govt steps in and puts a stop to it. So in short, yes he has "authority", not necessary legal standing, but to the extent he can direct agencies to do his bidding he has the defacto authority. Some would call this regime a dictatorship.

Well of course the Constitution gives the (Republican) President the power, during a time of war.

Now, all we need to do is start a war and make sure it never ends because then we will have Dictatorial Powers!!!
