*Somebody is trying to give Congresswoman Cynthia McKinney (D-GA) a warning. Georgia’s first African American woman to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives has been outspoken about her displeasure with the Bush administration and the way it benefited from the hanging chad-plagued election six years ago.

“American Blackout,” a film documenting McKinney’s efforts to address the disfranchisement of African-American voters since the 2000 presidential election, was a hit in last week’s Sundance Film Festival, earning the Special Jury Award for Documentary Films.


Upon returning home from the Park City, Utah event early Sunday (Jan. 29), the congresswoman found that her front lawn had been vandalized and “toilet papered” – but with VCR tape. .

“Obviously, someone wants to send a message that they know where I live and can have access to my front yard to do unkind things,” McKinney told AllHipHop.com in a statement. “Still, we are pleased with the success of ‘American Blackout’ at Sundance and hope everyone who cares about our country will make a point to see it.”

it won't wrong. She is a strong women and I think we all should send her a e-mail thanking her for all her work she has done. Also she is not my Congresswomen since I'm from Oregon.

I hope the FBI finds who ever did this. But that wont happen till pigs learn how to fly.

First hand experience.......

When I lived in Georgia I was working with Cynthia on this issue. My teenage son had a friend over and an unexpected meeting with Cynthia came up.

I called the child's father to make arrangements to get the boy home on my way to Cynthia's office.

I mentioned where I was going.

The father said:

"Oh, good, if I give you my gun, will you shoot her for me?"

To which I replied:

"I most certainly WILL NOT. I support Cynthia McKinney and all she does."

His reply was:

"Then will you tell me where the meeting is so I can shoot her?"

His son has never set foot in my home again. And never will.
