Sessions keeps talking about 3000 with "no civil rights"
because they died on 9/11
What the hell is he going to do when the death toll of servicemen and women in Iraq exceeds that number?

9. "Waving the Bloody Shirt"
This has become SOP for radical Republican demagogues.

See: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bloody_shirt

It is a totally illogical statement, but Sessions invokes the emotion of 9/11 to distract from Bush's criminality. He's implying that anyone who questions Bush's actions is to blame for 'terrorism'.

Pretty sleazy tactic ... but then, what to you expect from these fascists?

16. They love that "3,000" figure
Not all the 2,752 people who died 9/11 were American citizens. All told, nearly 500 foreigners from 91 countries lost their lives in the Sept. 11 attack.

19. Nobody who has been murdered can enjoy civil rights.
Oh, and the millions who die of heart disease can't enjoy their civil rights.

Are we to spy on what foods people buy and in what amounts? Are we going to declare preemptive war on Philip Morris Tobacco and Hostess Twinkie Corp?

What an idiot. Why are wingnuts so totally unable to make a logical point?

I would like to know exactly when Iraq attacked New York, and how the government invading the privacy of American civilians without a warrant or probable cause is supposed to prevent such an attack.

23. Actually, they died with more civil rights than we have now
Edited on Tue Feb-07-06 01:51 AM by Solly Mack
so one can truthfully say they died more free than Americans are today. Sort of the last "free" Americans.

So I guess that means they died for nothing - since rights and freedoms were eroded and government blames that on the events of September 11, 2001. The actions of the government suggest those people died in vain - and for nothing.(well, except for a power grab - they did come from their deaths - so we can conclude the government used those deaths to abuse power)

So really, government is making a mockery of those who died that day. And each and every single time government uses those deaths to justify the abuses of power, the bigger the mockery grows.

America dishonors those who died by eroding civil rights and liberties.
