Sold as Asbestos relief but what it does is to let Halliburton off the hook
for $600 million to take care of people dying from Asbestos.

Call republicans senators too .... Protect Life? My Ass.

Fire up the calls.

Any senator who votes to make sure Dick Cheney & company gets more money
as people die should be horse whipped. Culture of Life. :puke:

3. I think Cheney's push into Iraq was a safety net for Halliburton in
case they lose the Asbesto case. Sort of a wink, wink, nudge, nudge that if they lose the Asbesto ruling, he'd find a way for the American people to pay for their losses.

But I think this man is about to win a trifecta: Iraq no bid contracts, a positive Asbesto ruling, and rebuilding ports after Katrina.

The devil couldn't do better.

7. And to think Lieberman had him in his sights during that debate, and
let him go. Rugged individualist, my ass. Cheney is the fattest welfare queen this country has ever seen.

9. Many business interests OPPOSE the asbestos bill
The insurance industry, e.g., opposes it because THEY'D have to pay too much into the so-called trust fund.

Labor opposes it because it screws their workers.

I'd be very surprised if anything passes here, and this is pretty much the last gasp for any kind of asbestos bill.
