simply MINDBOGGLING CNN hitpiece on Hillary, with a little Dean
added on for a fillip

they're using the Mehlman smear job from the weekend as the basis, with at least two soundbites from him

THEN, they showed two clips of her, one when she said something like "this will be remembered as the worst administration EVER"! it was fantastic, btw

THEN, they showed her quite impassive, sardonic smile when dumbo said at the SOTU that he and WJC were brothers

THEN, after claiming that she's trying to appear moderate (while still being angry), the Pugs are still trying to paint her as a wild eyed lib, even as many in her party are mad at her for being too moderate

this was all by Bill Schneider; they even worked in the Dean Scream to emphasize how unhinged the highest profile dems are.

to top it off, Wolf thanked Schneider for his very good report

I can't remember EVER seeing anything as one-sided as this: NOT ONE WORD of balance. This was STRAIGHT out of the blast fax boiler room

I can't wait for the Transcript; I really could not believe what I was seeing

2. You were... excuse me, you were surprised...?
Why do you think some people have been saying Hillary's just not gonna be able to make it as the 2008 candidate? Her narrative was written long ago and the media truly believes in it and sees no reason to disbelieve it. A lot of latent dislike for her is just waiting to be awakened in the public also. It's called baggage. She has it.

And no one should be surprised about this by now.

13. I am, because of the total imbalance of this.....I've seen a TON of
horseshit on CNN and MSNBC, and I've never seen anything as bad as this

contrast it to the tweety story on Hillary, running right now: he's interviewing an advisor of Hillary's, and actually letting him get his points out, leading him with this....

"does Hillary REALLY think Bush is one of the worst presidents in history?"

fanTASTIC softball, to which the advisor replied with a litany of Bush failures

it was great!

makes the CNN story look all the more horrid in comparison

an acutal kudos to Matthews for a change

20. I hardly think it's a good thing, but this has been coming.
It was always going to come, just a matter of ETA.

23. yeah, but tweety actually allowed some balance
to sneak in, and Wolfson got to say Bush is worst president ever! you don't see that anywhere in M$M, except from Helen Thomas or DU posters

6. I'm watching it now, and it's WAY more balanced than CNN
they actually are dealing with WHY the pugs are going after her "emotional state"

tweety is talking to Howard Wolfson, Hillary advisor, who's talking about how the pugs ALWAYS go after people in this sleazy way, when they have nothing of substance to say

Tweety is being pretty fair on this one, believe it or not

utterly different from the completely one sided hatchet fest on CNN

8. Actually I thought that David Schuster's Hardball piece was fair
It pointed out that painting a strong opponent as angry and unhinged is an old Republican tactic. Pointed out that Dean, Gore and McCain faced the same treatment.

Interesting--this was one of the first time that I'd seen the MSM admit that the Republicans targeted Dean because they feared him.

16. totally agree, and the tweety interview with Howard Wolfson, Hillary
advisor, following that, allowed him to list reasons why Bush is the WORST PRESIDENT EVER!!!

17. Wolfson was good. If they can keep it up it might raise my opinion of HRC
I'm not a big Hillary Clinton fan. I do not like her position on the war but if Wolfson's indicative of her people, I might not be too upset if she wins the nomination.

15. Natch. It's the "big" story today...Hillary's anger...that and
the dangers ahead from African killer bees mating with our docile American honeybees. CNN -- always with its finger on the nation's pulse.

7. Wolfie's a sad sack of shit. Worthless scum.
A simpering toadie with less grey matter than the most of the lower orders of invertebrates. But he's CNN's premier journalist.

More and more I'm convinced that any nattering fool can graduate with honors from most journalism schools.

14. Interesting that so many media outlets are doing Hillary pieces when
to my knowledge she hasn't really done anything so newsworthy (like getting abducted) that all this media should be focused on her.
