2. You can bet the RW spin machine is already writing the script bashing him.
"How DARE he use the funeral of Martin Luther King's widow for such blatant political purposes!!"

Yeah. It's not like MLK's life was political or anything. :sarcasm:

I think we could ask the family, and I'd bet they're be perfectly fine with it. In fact, knowing the gentleman Carter is, he probably cleared his comments with them first.

19. Carter is a friend of the King family
because of the Georgia connection and they endorsed him for president.

Bush, however, is not.

12. Watching Bush clap when Carter said that Katrina made plain
that there are not yet equal opportunities for all Americans was absolutely jaw dropping awesome.

Caught in the unfriendly confines of a crowd he could not control, he acquiesced to the power of the truth. Once...just this once. I know he didn't mean it. But Carter forced Bush to face his demon. And that is worth "3 million yankee votes" to me.

18. The applause was so thunderous...
when he mentioned wiretapping. You would think Bush would have a clue that his 'program' is not going over well with the American public. Guess that is why they will smear spin Jimmy.
