The smoking gun question regarding the NSA wiretaps
No one from the Administration has yet provided a credible explanation as to why they didn't just go to the FISA Court. The law was carefully crafted to specifically address these needs and avoid issues that would necessitate a violation of the Fourth Amendment. So when addressing your reps or anyone else. Ask this question. Of course the only plausible explanation has to be that the tpye of surveillance they were conducting would never have been approved by the FISA Court. Why? Because they were tapping people for political reasons so they could get the goods on them so Rover could threaten them with blackmail. That's why.

3. Like I said
No credible response! These people are incorrigible. They feed this crap to us and expect us to believe them.

4. The one they truly can't answer is
"What are the limits of presidential power during wartime, or is his power limitless?"

A dark alley Gonzales doesn't want to go near.

6. I wanted to say a word about NSA "wiretaps"
Several years ago, I think it was Inside Edition (Maury Povich's show) did a story in the vein of
"What is this building in Northern Virginia and what do they do there?"

They showed a building FULL of servers and computer equipment. They stated that most people don't even know that the NSA exists.

Anyway - my point is that there is no wire "tapping" there no one there with alligator clips tapping into a phone line.

My hunch is that ALL communications are recorded ALL OF THE TIME.

So what "wiretapping" really amounts to is saying "give me the history of audio on this number"...

Does anyone else agree? Did anyone see the same show I saw back then?
