Arlen Specter needs to hear from us on the subject of spying

This is a critical moment.

The president has been caught with his hand in the cookie jar. He has, by all appearances, committed a felony--and yet the focus of the Senate Judiciary Committee, chaired by Specter, is not to determine possible guilt--but to REWRITE THE LAW to accommodate the president's crime. More hearings have been promised, but none have been scheduled. We can't let this stand.

I'd like to urge all DUers to call Specter's office and let him know you're paying attention. Tell him the FISA law is there for a reason, and it is to prevent abuses just like this one. Tell him you expect all Americans to be held accountable for crimes they commit.
