http://www.kvii.com/

address. she is the first female mayor we have had. she is declared repug, but she has dem policy. i knew she wasnt a repug even though her x hubby insisted. anyway, i would appreciate it if you could vote yes on the poll that you like her speech. the males attack her so. she is even getting bike lanes for the kids, big thumbs up.... lol

14. I was bred born and raised in your town
Now I live just outside that big hole in the ground. There aren't so many DEMs in our area, but we're stubborn.

Remember America, when you ask "Who fought for our water rights? Who stood up to No Child Left Behind? Who kept an eye on where the bombs went after they were built?"

Look our way.

You can find me. Just send me a PM. Now that you know where I live, you might understand why I don't like to divulge my location. University or not, it's a small town.

25. What did you learn?
Yes, I know exactly where to find the Democratic party here. Up until recently I had a very public job, so I kept a very low profile. My dear little 82 year old mother made up for it. If you ever read the rag they call the Amarillo Globe News, you would probably recognize her. She has done several guest columns and as often as they let her, she adds her letters to the opinion page.

27. well, i need to get hold
of the democratic party here in town

i am with you, my husband and father own businesses and have lived here a long time. for its size, it is such a small community. i have told the repugs the fact you must hide me, the FACT that i cannot publically support a candidate that i like tells you all you need to know about your party. and shame on you.

i cant even write a letter into amarillo globe news......... but..... things change.

(like the gay in the closet) my husband outed me last week and pushed me into repug power world, declaring i am a staunch democrat. (not really even a democrat, lol, never have registered as a party....) i was like, free free freee i tell you. feels really nice. i have also had a couple big money white male repug tell me i am right, they are wrong...... (one called hubby over to have him tell me)

i went to a group of repug, and i brought up what their party was doing and shame on them. i told one (and it spreads) i receive a flyer saying conservative value. conservative value is now, lying, cheating, stealing, ... corrupt. i dont want anything to do with conservative value. also on this persons flyer they said they would attack liberal agenda. again, i am pissed talking ot myself for a week, there is NO liberal agenda in the panhandle of texas. how weak you are, to attack liberal agenda when it isnt even perfect. this is the conservative value, that is pissing me off. have the balls in conservative value to attack the dishonesty of your own party. otherwise, i cannot respect.

also about the religion in my public schools. i sent kids to "the" christian private for 6 years. a month after election.... during school year, i disrupted my kids education to put them in public schools away from religion

whne the republican party attacked the democrats, saying they were not christian, is when i could no longer stand between the two parties. i felt a responsibility to stand up for my fellow man, defending him against repug. my greatest disappointment with republicans in my life is that they did not stand up to their own people when they were saying i was not christian. shame on them.

at this party i did not mince words

they talked about what would happen to business in taxes for a half hour. i shoo'ed them and said, lets look at this from a different angle. yawl probably have kids in private, i did too, so paying for school supplies were fine. now kids in public i see parent is to oay 75 to 100, per child............

about tak tests
about pay connected to tax test
about our machines in town.... i want paper,... i do not trust republican
evolution.... do you think you can keep our govt our of churches to sign legislation that adds discrimination into our state constitution

there was so much we didnt get into. there was so much we did get into. not one person defended what their party was doing.

so here i am two days later, letting all settle to see where to go from here. there is an election in three weeks and i want an upset. i want the democratic party. i really am pissed at these repugs that are all around me....... good good, being stupid people

24. thank you that is nice
i am hearing a lot of "cant run as democrat in this area, gotta run as a repug". i think this needs to be the first step in this area. it use to be democrat. or a lot more anyway.

just real interesting. i went to country club today and didnt park car up against fence to hide all my bumperstickers. i told husband, now that he told his "peers, friends, clients" that his wife is a flaming liberal, i figured i could park my car with all the others, wink..... he told me, i didnt say flaming liberal, i said staunch democrat, there is a difference. as silly as all this sounds, it was a huge step.

(you dont know the whole story of me going into the repug den of a state rep running... last night. oooosh it was tough. i spoke out, and challenge onall the things that are pissing me off. did it with a smile, glass of wine, and lots of laughs, but i spoke out.
