So, who is spilling the beans on Cheney and Bush to Fitz?

"In interviews over the course of two days this week, these officials were urged to speak on the record for this story. But they resisted, saying they had already testified before a grand jury investigating the leak of Wilson's wife, covert CIA operative Valerie Plame Wilson, and added that speaking out against the administration and specifically Vice President Cheney would cause them to lose their jobs and subject their families to vitriolic attacks by the White House.

The officials said they decided to speak out now because they have become disillusioned with the Bush administration's policies regarding Iraq and the flawed intelligence that led to the war."

Any guesses?

2. A darned good question. It surely does seem as if Fitz is getting
info from someone inside the WH.

I don't know who it is but maybe someone has decided to leak the tale in fragments so that a talented prosecutor and his team can reassemble them on the outside for the media and the public.

What if Stephen Hadley is the source of the leaks, which would hasten his former boss' ascent to the vice presidency (once Fitz nails Cheney), and he, Hadley, would become the U.S. Secretary of State. Maybe hapless Hadley and Kindasleazy are doing a little history-shaping on the side.

It may mean -- just wishful speculation here -- that Dubya's presidency faces an unpredictable and perhaps brief future.

Even some red voters have finally come to realize that George W. Bush is a little piss-ant, hardly worthy of their vote, much less the U.S. presidency.

20. Not Hadley
Hadley is 100% reptilian.

More likely Tenet and Ari Fleisher.

5. Hadley is a good guess
It's got to be someone very high up because I doubt if too many people knew about this. I doubt if they even told Powell.

8. I don't know WHO, but can you imagine Pickles being interrogated...
...by Fitzgerald?

After seeing Pickles' facial expressions during the recent speeches that honored Coretta Scott King, I can see Pickles saying, "What cha going to do Mr. Fitzgerald, arrest me for smoking?"

9. Article states the officials worked for State Dept, CIA and NSC.
Unlikely IMO that Hadley, as someone suggested here, is one of the sources for the article since he's fingered in the article as knowing the Niger docs were bogus yet pushing the Niger story anyway.

One assumes there are a number of disaffected folks in the State Dept and intel/security agencies since Cheney and his gang ran over them to get what they wanted.

13. Wurmser and Hannah? Weren't they the first to 'cooperate' with
Fitzgerald because he threatened them with jail? And then Cheney chose Hannah to replace Libby? That made no sense unless Cheney saw the Godfather and agrees that you should 'keep your friends close but your enemies closer'.
