5. actually most schools allow you to opt out

They don't really like it and you have to sign a waiver that you accept the responsibility if your child gets sick and they can't attend school if they get sick. At least in Ohio you can opt out.

Unfortunately, I didn't know the facts when my kids were little and both sustained some minor problems because of the vaccines. One has dyslexia and the other PDD or mild autism. I did opt out of the shots required for Junior High for both of them because they have both made such progress with a lot of work on my part that I didn't want to risk the shots causing them more unnecessary problems.
