Wolcott Slams the "Geezer in the Bubble" (Imus)

Slams him for racism, shallowness, and slams his liberal guests for catering to the old man, who really has no convictions whatsoever.

Good read.

1. The real villains are the powerful folks that kiss his ass
Just once I'd like Kerry or Frank Rich to rip him and his pals a new one. They'd never get back on the air again but they'd have their integrity.

My sense is that Kerry is becoming a bolder, more liberated pol in recent months, much the same way Gore did after he lost. Too bad it take these guys so long to figure it out.

2. He's right about MoDud the other day
when he told her to stop ripping ShrubCo. "Well, I got Hillary in the last paragraph today." What a bunch of losers we have on "our side."

3. Imus and his little slush charity funds.
You know, I think Imus tried to show us how the Bush Administration buys pundits and other media whores. In one broadcast before the 2004 election he complained that a Bush Administration staffer tried to reach him to offer a donation to Imus's wife's charity. Get it guys? Not all pay-offs to pundits will come on a check from an executive branch agency and drafted directly to the pundit.

Imus, of course, was not upset that a donation was being offered, just seemed a little bit peeved that the staffer should have called his wife, not him.So, as in all instances where corruption is as high as it is today, YOU HAVE TO FOLLOW THE MONEY.

Which means, maybe it's time to start asking ALL pundits if their relatives' charity organizations have all been receiving donations from republicans?
