one of the nation's bastions of liberal thinking, but even here I know a bunch of republicans who swear (Still!) that bush is the savior. I listed to one co-worker gush about how gorgeous Bush is, and if he was single she'd be all over him.

It's irrational. They don't want anything to do with facts. They openly scorn people who have facts. And they're Bush's base no matter what he does.

So I'm not sure how big an implosion he's really facing.
