Sensenbrenner schedules Mardi Gras theme fundraiser
Just when you think it can't get any more surrealistic...

The guy who voted against aid to victims of Katrina, the guy who wouldn't give Katrina victims a break on the new harsher bankruptcy laws and told them to "get over it," the one and only Jim Sensenbrenner, is having a fundraiser on February 15 to celebrate Mardi Gras and rake in some loot to help himself get elected again so he can do more of the same (or worse?!) Don't believe anybody could be so clueless? It's listed here: http://www.nrcc.org/contents/events/

Nobody on DU is going to spend $500 to have breakfast with Jim. But if you can spare a little to help get rid of the self-righteous, insensitive fool, here's a shameless plug for my site

www.actblue.com/list/sbwi

to donate to Bryan Kennedy, who has many virtues, and among them is compassion. Bryan ran TV ads during the fall calling Jim out on his vote against helping those who really needed it. (You can see the ad on Bryan's website: www.bk2006.org )

Thanks for anything you can donate or even to help keep this kicked.

3. Add stupid
to the insensitive part.....

it's a stupid thing to do because it is so OBVIOUSLY WRONG on several levels......

The problem is that Senslessbrenner thinks he can get away with anything because his district is safe....I hope Brain Kennedy has a rude, rude shock for him....

Let me second the motion to go to
Kennedy's site and drop a few coins in the tin can...help us rid our State and Country of this jerk.

It's hard to think of enough adjectives when it comes to Jim.

14. It's said he hates that nickname
Actually, Frank Sensenbrenner (I presume that was Jim's grandfather) was CEO of Kimberly-Clark when they introduced the product. At least the older generation was interested in benefiting (wo)mankind.

13. Maybe he could donate the proceeds to the rebuilding effort
since he thinks the rebuilding should be done with private donations rather than federal funds.

15. Tex is another rich Republican without a clue. The Republicans
have to protect their wealth and pass it along intact. Otherwise, we'd have a whole new string of "welfare queens."
