Scandals - great LTTE
About scandals

Kirk Klinger (2/4, Letters) was correct when he said the headlines during the Clinton presidency were filled with scandal after scandal, but the so-called Clinton scandals — Whitewater, filegate, travelgate, troopergate, Vincent Foster, etc. — were created out of whole cloth by a Republican spin machine.

The creator of troopergate, David Brock, later apologized to Bill Clinton and wrote two books about his experiences with the Republican right: Blinded by the Right and The Republican Noise Machine.

The Republican attempt to bring down Clinton was well-documented in The Hunting of the President by Joe Conason and A Vast Conspiracy by New Yorker legal affairs writer Jeffery Toobin.

It shows a lack of concern for our country when Republicans would rather excuse the crimes and misdeeds of the Bush administration and the Republican House. Republicans should realize that we are all in this together and that they, too, will be hurt by the Republican culture of corruption.

1. The Republicans would rather tear this country apart
than admit the wrongdoing of W. Let them live with it.

Their party is more important than our country.

2. I wish the media would cover the actual scandals
perpatrated by * and his minions. I have read those books. What the general public doesn't know is the funding by melon/scaiffe of most of those witchhunts. Character assanation like that shouldn't be legal. The media should do a better job scrutinizing * but it's hard to blame them when I can't keep up with all the bombshells. Thanks for the post.

4. I thought so too.
I was just expanding a little bit on stuff I read in those books by Brock and Conanson.
