Top 5 most despicable actions of the bush regime?
Edited on Sat Feb-11-06 03:42 AM by Skip Intro
shock and awe is the one they should be tried for war crimes for, no doubt, but they've assaulted this country from within as well.

its all a depressing mess, but there must be a record, there must be a clear, true history of what has been done, is being done, and is planned for by these thugs

anyway...top five so far?

5.  I think exercising control over the
corporate media through intimidation and payola is in the top five because people who don't go elsewhere for news never hear the truth about any of the other outrages. The corporate whores have people in this country convinced that disappearances of strangers are extremely important while illegal acts committed every day by the Bush Crime Family are not even mentioned. It's a crime.

8. Gutting Medicaid/Medicare (in progress)
Doing 9/11, then blaming it on Saudi's, then attacking a sand pile of a country that already had been destroyed by the Soviets. This to build a pipeline.
Emptying the National Treasury into their own back pocket.
Allowing the destruction and looting of the Baghdad Museum.
War crimes in ignoring violations of the Geneva Convention.

The list is so long most people can't wrap their heads around the enormity of the long term damage to the US and the world this administration is doing.

19. So many crimes, and I only get to pick 5?
Edited on Sat Feb-11-06 11:15 AM by Laelth
Oh, well. I'll give it a shot.

1) Systematically subverting democracy. (election theft and massive voter disenfranchisement)
2) 9-11. (I am MIHOP all the way. Go HERE to see why.)
3) Assault on civil liberties and the separation of powers. (domestic wiretapping & the Patriot Act)
4) Tax cuts for the rich. (Tax cuts are unconscionable with our record deficit spending).
5) Bankruptcy "reform" bill. (Do they really want the return of slavery?)

I didn't list the Iraq war or the lies used to get Americans and the world community to support it. While these lies hurt our international credibility and undermine confidence in our political processes, the war might be understandable (though not justified) by Peak Oil.
