Petition for Jill Carroll needs your help!!!

Could someone who is a member of Kos and/or Interfaith Reliance, please post the following message to inform people of the effort for Ms Carroll- I am unable to because I'm a new member- We are up to 159 signatures and need to bolster more support. It would be greatly appreciated if you could take the time to make these posts.

On January 7th of this year, 28 year-old freelance reporter Jill Carroll was abducted in Baghdad, Iraq. Since this time Carroll has appeared twice on video pleading for the America government to fulfill the demands of her captures, to release all female Iraqi prisoners. The American government’s strict no-negotiation policy leaves Ms. Carroll fate in a precarious situation. On February 10th Ms Carroll’s holders set a deadline of February 26th to have their demands met or they will take Ms Carroll’s life. The people of the world must band together and petition for the safe release of Jill Carroll. Please sign this petition, respectfully asking for the safe release of Jill Carroll, in hopes that her holders will feel they have accomplished enough by gaining the attention and concern of the world.

12. Suspicious of What?? What possible motive could there be to start a

petition?? Some People are idiots and make up fake names and post nasty comments for whatever reasons and you are trying to read more deeply into this? I don't understand how people let a few nasty comments discourage them from a positive effort. Those Signatures will me remove asap. The site has already been contacted. As for the multiple postings, We just trying to gain support and inform people of the petition. Don't allow a few 12 signature out of 217 ruin a good effort.

I've sent the petition to several Universities in Europe from the UK to Germany all across America, We are really trying to make a go at this. The deadline has been set for Feb. 26 they said the would put that 28 year old woman to death. We need a large amount of signatures--showing concern for Ms Carroll to have any chance of influencing her holders. And this is the best I can do right now, promulgate a petition, of course the more it is spread-- the larger the tally gets = the larger number of -the 1 percent of idiots posting fake names will be, but I will get them off.

19. I've contacted the petition host to get the questionable names removed

and have not heard back. I also asked them to shut off the comment option to limit suggestion that skew from the petition's mission statement.

22. It didn't ever occur to me that people could be that horrible and go

out of their way to say something bad about a person like Jill Carroll,especially giving the situation she is in- not to mention her family. But I will have those names removed (still less than 20 out of 225) asap.

How you considered also delivering it to the State Department? That would put some pressure on our government to pay some effen attention.

Is someone going to deliver this to those who have her? And why do you think they're going to care? They have her because she's an American journalist and they have an agenda and will use her for as long as they can. Nothing we say will matter. They already have their minds made up.

24. I respect your opinion. I believe and hope that a substantial amount of

signatures will influence her captures to give Ms Carroll a message to deliver to all the concerned people around the world, which they demonstrated by petitioning for, instead of making her the message by killing her.
