George Bush's Praise the Lord Presidency
http://www.opednews.com/articles/opedne_missy_co_060211_george_bush_s_praise.htm

by Missy Comley Beattie

... A real Christian doesn't mislead and would never create a reason to justify an illegal war. A true Christian wouldn't send our soldiers to be slaughtered and to slaughter others. War is hell to a real Christian. To George W. Bush, it must be heaven. In fact, the Project for the New American Century is Bush's Bible.

The president is cheating me exactly as my 'handyman' did--lying, lying, and more lying. In a New York Times article, Elizabeth Bumiller writes that during one of George Bush's speeches to sell his 'American competitiveness initiative' the same week as his State of the Union address, the president said his 'foreign policy was in part based on an Almighty.' I'm sure my 'handyman' would have said his home improvement business was based in part on an Almighty.

George W. Bush is using some of my money to pay what may amount to trillions of dollars by the time he, finally, decides we should not 'stay the course.' I want my money spent on peace and on programs for education, healthcare, the elderly, the poor, efforts to curb global warming, and on humanitarian aid.

I fired my 'handyman.' Actually, I threatened to sue him. I'm wondering if I can sue George Bush for the wrongful death of my nephew in Iraq, the killing of almost 2,300 other troops, and the more than 100,000 Iraqis who have died.

And can I fire him?

1. I love that cartoon. Dubya is quite a bit more like the Roman authorities
than he is like the humble followers of Jesus of Galilee.

If anybody has earned a strong slap from a prophet of peace, it's Bush and his fellow snakes in the current administration.

2. How can anyone mistake him for a Christian?
Jesus loved peace, Bush loves war. Jesus cared for the poor, Bush only cares for the rich. Jesus said "love thy enemy," Bush and his spokespeople in the media say "they're traitors, kill them all." Jesus said "turn the other cheek," Bush says "kick their ass and take their gas."
