9. Major Astroturfing...They Were Prepared

The interesting sidegame here is who is leaking these pictures and how they're being leaked. The first mention of the photos came out two weeks ago...plenty of time for Rove to get the talking points and callers in place...flooding the talk shows and web sites to shoot this picture and others down as fast as possible. Look for all sorts of dismissive remarks today...then turn the attack on Time and those who dare to try to draw conclusions they don't want aired...especially logical and truthful ones.

Again, the interesting game I'm seeing here is the slow drip, drip, drip going on. Seems Abramoff is either trying to shake down the White House by teasing with the pictures (my silence can be bought)...or his silence already is bought and this long, drawn out game minimizes damage rather than having 10 or 20 pictures get dumped at once.

Whenever it happens that people call in against Bush, I know the wingers are busy calling people, telling them to get on C-Span. They always have the same meme, so you know it's organized. Then they try to make up for all the anti-Bush calls by calling in on the Democrats line, proclaiming either that they used to be Democrats or that they are Democrats. Totally predictable.
