Definitely, not a doubt in my mind that he would own slaves if it were legal.

1. No doubt
and he would not be a kind master either. He is still working on it, we will all be his slaves if we are not successful.

4. Agreed...
Americans are in slavery right now, whatever you choose to call it.

3. Own them? Hell, he'd be a major slave trader
with his own fleet of slave ships. But, somehow he'd manage to screw up that seller's market just like everything else he's ever touched--probably "accidently" allow them to drown or starve to death (along the lines of the Katrina business model). SG
:sarcasm:

7. He'd also be wind bugling,
about what a devote christian he is and how god wants us to take care of the negroes through the blessed institution of slavery. I wish when Falwell and the southern christian right first showed up, we would have retrieved from the memory hole all the "christians" praising slavery. Religion and a corrupt Supreme court was what gave slavery legitimacy back then. Same as what gives legitamacy to this oligarchy.

8. And if GW Bush came out of a less-privileged womb, he'd be
wearing a paper hat and making onion rings. Funny thing, inherited wealth.
