Another "stunning" PBS history program. You must see it if you can.
No wonder Americans are so ignorant of their own history, both black and whites. it's never taught in schools. This series by PBS is great: Slavery and the forming of America. Beautifully done.

5. I think the PBS web site is wrong. I know that the second episode
is showing next week in DC but the web site said it isn't. Check your local listings!

should. It's also PBS -- produced in 1998. Fantastic companion website here:

I use the videos in my history 101 class every semester.
Nice to see some pro-active learning going on here; one of the reasons Americans are ignorant is that they wait to be spoon-fed knowledge (and then, there is the whole issue of what isn't taught . . .)!
