CBS News on "global warming"
Edited on Sun Feb-12-06 09:28 PM by SHRED
They're kidding...right?
Did anyone else see them tonight (2-12-06) talking about the weather?

Near the end they commented that global warming is difficult to say for certain since we have only been keeping temperature records for 150 years. They said, "Not enough information".

They must think we are stupid.
They must have forgotten the myriad of ways to tell global temperature, throughout the ages, via other methods besides an actual thermometer.
They must have forgotten, for instance...glaciers, ice caps and flows.

Holy crap the MSM news is dumbed down and pathetic...isn't it?
:banghead:

1. It's just that they are fed this misinformation and they are paid to
propagate it. So goes the free press. That is until we find out who fed them the lies. Do you know who they used for their resources? Did the report Quote any works or people of reference?

2. On CNN tonight, I think it was, the reporter stated that the nor-easter
"brought the folks in the northeast back to reality after the warmest January on record." Unfortunately, the warmest January on record is reality. Dumbass.

Here's a good article on temperature change over geologic time scales (as opposed to the short time scales that we are witnessing and affected by): http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Geologic_temperature_record

4. And here's info on more recent warming
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Temperature_record

Note that on the three graphs below, the x-axis is different, both in scale and as far as left or right side is most recent.
