Trivia question: List the presidential/executive branch accidents:
Awards will be given for the most listed, the funniest and the most obscurely remembered. Points will be taken away if you google or yahoo.

I go first:

George Bush I: Tossing his cookies at a Japanese banquet and passing out.

Nixon: 18 minutes of tapes "accidentally" erased.

Ford: Trick knee giving out.

Clinton: (This one is too easy, so I'll pass.)

Bush II: Choking on a pretzel, falling off a mobile scooter, crashing his bike, trying to exit off a stage through a faux door, too many speech mistakes to list,

Dick Cheney: Shooting a lawyer; and in the hours after the 9/11 attacks, he (or his wife) was in the command room accidentally hanging up on the line that connected the White House with other vital emergency response teams.

5. Two good ones.
Who knew that when Reagan said he could not remember the facts of those meetings, he was telling the truth.

8. Reagan's memory of the tale of an airman trapped in the belly of
a "flying fortress" and his officer handing him a gun to shoot himself before they had to make the crash landing . . . never happened, but was in a movie that St. Ronnie of the Supply Side saw . . .

12. That's pretty bad.
Even back then they knew what to say to tweak emotions. Bush just took the world of make believe one whole notch higher.
