7. He takes a break to go out on the circuit, so he doesn't get stale

He does colleges and other venues, plus takes some down time. He goes for the quality vs. quantity approach, I guess. And he also tries to figure ahead of time what months will be most newsworthy. When Congress is in recess, you don't get as many amusing clips, usually...!

He is certainly starting off this latest run with a bang--what a great line up!!!!
