ENOUGH! What more, how much more do we all have to take? When, just when are you going to do your job, congress critters? You work for us and we demand some degree of accountability. That is all I want.

1. I'm with you, Citrene. Start acting, or reacting, Dems, to all the
FUBARs around you!

2. You've got the right idea.

Accountability. Rethugs shudder at the very mention of the word.

3. Watch out!

Now will come the expected, "Our leaders are doing a fine job and you should be united with them!" posts from the, "Our leaders can do no wrong" crowd.

Oh, and let's not forget their favorites, "Duh....you must be a Bush supporter" or "Duh....you must be a freeper"

4. Get About 25 More Democrats Elected And Then You Have A Bitch
What setps can Democrats take other than symbolic? They can't call hearings, they have no subpoena power...they can't even get a room with a decent sound system. Also, we deal with a corporate media that is in the pocket of the Repugnicans and this regime that will either stifle or trash anyone who attempts to step forward...and justify it by the fact Democrats have no control. It's a Catch 22 that can only end with the Democrats retaking both Houses.

Some of the most frustrated people right now are folks like Jerry Nadler and John Conyers and Maxine Waters...folks on the Judiciary Committee would would love to shove it up Sennsenbrenner's ass. You have the same thing over in Appropriations and Ethics and right on down the line. That's where accountability happens...but it can't when you don't control the agenda or the committees.

Right now there's so much corruption...so many scandals that it's getting hard to stay focused and I fear both a fatigue and apathy will start to wear in. However, we must continue to chip away at this regime...get it's crimes into the open and keep hammering...then craft a plan and message that offers a clear alternative in the fall. In the meantime, people still need to get kicked in the ass by this regime...they need to get angry, frustrated, pissed...the more the merrier and the longer and deeper the anger the better. Democrats need to keep the fire and hope Repugnicans get apathetic...the combination of the two will mean positive results in November...and THEN we can start demanding the accountability and we'll be able to get answers.

5. It is no longer about Dems and Republicans. It is just simply
about the "Constitution" and the law of the land.

What does it mean to you? It's a simple question no one can avoid. Are we a country of laws or lawlessness?

If our President need not pay attention to any law, why do "we the people" need to? If the President does not have to because "we" are at war then why do any of the rest of us need to obey any laws? We are at war, make your own rules!

6. And With A Repugnican Majority All You Say Is Moot
The Constitution has been breached numerous times by this regime and the only way for it to be held accountable is at the ballot box...and in a way they can't steal or contest. This is about a runaway Repugnican party drunk with absolute greed and power...laws, morals and common sense mean nothing since they have the votes and money and money to do as they please. Now if you want this to continue, then work against the best alternative to their power trip and fight within the Democratic party. Karl Rove couldn't ask for better friends. Let's play "purity" games...and wanna bet no one wins? Well, Repugnicans do.
