Bush Tags Bloggers As Terrorists
So this explains why they're going after the internet. Bloggers.

Link: http://www.myleftwing.com/showDiary.do?diaryId=5963

Snip: <While not a surprise, given all that has transpired in Bush’s term, it still was a shocker to read that bloggers are now “terrorists.” The nature of 'blogger terrorist acts' should be a concern for both liberal and conservative bloggers: “Deliberate misinformation campaigns” may well describe actions taken by right-wingers and “activist calls” describes actions by bloggers regardless of political affiliation.

Homeland Security completed its “Cyber Storm” wargame to test how our government “would respond to devastating attacks over the Internet from anti-globalization activists, underground hackers and bloggers.” Given that homeland security ran the “wargame,” one may infer that the nature of the attacks by bloggers must be national security related. And, given that the major national security fear of our government is terrorists, then it looks like bloggers have made our government’s hit list of potential terrorists. But, what is the nature of this “terrorist crime” that was the subject of these wargames? “Participants confirmed parts of the worldwide simulation challenged government officials and industry executives to respond to deliberate misinformation campaigns and activist calls by Internet bloggers, online diarists whose "Web logs" include political rantings and musings about current events.”

There are other indications that the Bush administration deems bloggers well within the reach of any definition of terrorist, if for no other reason than the crime of dissent and criticism. There are also indicators that relevant parties would be somewhat prepared to assist in the nabbing of terrorist bloggers: >

They should be afraid of us
For now we're out of their control.

5. Sadly, we are not out of their control.
They can pull me over some night and "find" a pound of heroin in my car. You'll never hear from me again. That is the evil that we're up against. Something has got to give, or we're gonna wind up in one of those prisons they're having Halliburton build like crazy.

Come on Fitz. Do your thing if you're going to.

2. That means he can declare bloggers "enemy combatants"
And arrest and detain without warrants, lawyers, and do it forever.

Aww, I was waiting for this one.

4. And all for
"the war on terror." He always says "the enemy." And than turns around and says Al-Quaeda specifically. Who is "the enemy"?

3. Sounds like paranoid delusion to me...
Have they caught a terrorist blogger? Wait has the US caught and successfully tried a terrorist? Well, yes but that was under Clinton wasn't it?

So they are going after American Citizens who disent? Wait lets refine that American citizens that do not hold the Neocon party line. So no right wing blogger will ever be investigated for death threats, slurs against Democrats or anyone else.

They are going after American citizens for speaking their minds.

Liberals are working together. Time for the nefarious assholes in GOP & neocondom to realize there is nothing special about them - they just lack the normal ties to society that keep people acting within confines of not hurting others - and that adults (liberals in this case) can fight back with just as much might and organization. But they have intellect and empathy too - to add.

8. Let us all make a pact

If it ever gets to the point that one of us is taken by these Nazis, tell a family member to post here. Let's all vow that we will create a national campaign to expose what they did - money, time, rallies in the streets...everything.

10. You're on.
Helluva good idea.

Because these guys are creating the biggest fascist state ever. If they continue unchecked . . . they'll reach the point where they have to start disappearing people.

I'm going to tell my brother and friends.

11. Actually that's only 1/2 correct.
Bush made it clear that anyone who disagees with him is a terrorist. He made this very clear on numerous occassions: "Either you are with us, or you are with the terrorists."

Orwellian, devious, and evil...words can't describe how awful this man is and what a hinderance he is to Democracy in our country.

I'll say it again. The war is not so much on the terrorists as it is on the American People.
