The US political system is purposly designed for only 2 parties! You may not like it, but it is! Sure, you gt an occasional Independant elected but that's the best you'll ever see! Be realistic instead of idealistic.

Howard IS doing the right thing for the Party, but he needs help from EVERYONE OF US! He CAN'T do it alone!

There's a very entrenched group (DLC) fighting against him and everything he's trying to do, and he's still succeeding! But he needs our help to PROVE to the DLC that their ways are wrong! We need to change THEM!

I find it ironic that those so willing to punish the Democratic party for lack of immediate results in line with their way of thinking want to set up a third party that will take generations to achieve any kind of national viability.
