It shows they were being careful and not rushing things out there, that the Republicans are thoughtful.

I live on the Hill Country in an area that has many life long hunters and ranchers.

At very first people were shocked but understood how an accident could happen.

Then they realized the delay in the reporting, and they started asking questions but most still understood how the accident could happen.

Then the WH blamed Whittington (who just so happens to be related to some of our locals) and that they are finding a little tough to chew. It appears that's just against some unspoken code of hunting. If you do screw up to the point that you accidentally injure a person, hunting etiquette seems to say you must feel the proper amount of guilt, remorse and offer to support the victim in anyway you can. But you never try to pass the blame off on the person, that's cowardly and irresponsible.

They haven't realized that they were hunting with women other than their wives yet. Even if it were perfectly innocent I have a feeling that's not going to set to well either.
