Worst. Vice President. Ever.
Evil. Scary. Liar. Unconscionable. Corrupt. And now looking like a buffon like Agnew.

1. From someone who was there, Agnew was a small-time crook
There is no comparison. Spiro T. looks saintly compared to this guy.

I hope that Dick Cheney becomes the most vilified man in U.S. history, and that's saying a lot considering all that's gone before.

2. I almost put in that it's an insult to Agnew to compare them, but
I mean that Agnew was pretty much just a small-time crook buffoon and now the horrendously evil Cheney has managed to add that to his characteristics. No, definitely no comparison.

5. I was there, too! We date ourselves...
Actually in the early 70's during Watergate, my family lived just outside the Beltway in northern Virginia, while my father worked for the Joint Chiefs in the Pentagon. We got the Washington Post every morning and I really didn't understand, as a ten-year-old, how close I was to history unfolding.

6. You have to remember, these guys are not all that bright..
They are C students. They don't even try. They think it's owed to them.

7. I don't recall that agnew ever shot or killed anyone, though. For those
of us who have spider webs over our decrepit bones, does anyone here remember the book "the wit and wisdom of spiro agnew"?
