US Sergeant Samuel Provance, who was demoted after witnessing the mistreatment of Iraqi captives in Abu Ghraib prison near Bagdat (Baghdad), claimed the children of Iraqi detainees were used to force their parents into talking.

Reportedly, Provance told of the ill-treatment of a 16-year-old boy who was arrested along with his father, Iraqi General Hamid Zabar, in a session at the US House of Representatives.



Provance, witnessing the ill-treatment carried out by one of his colleague, said, “In order to make Zabar talk, his 16 years old son was exposed to bad treatment.”

That's why the Pentagon fought the release of these pictures as vigorously as they did. They KNOW this will not sit well with the MAJORITY of US citizens.
