People aren't quite so dumb regarding Usama BinLadin

This term I'm taking a US History class and today we were talking about the British defeating the French and how the British would train troops only for them later to turn on them. My teacher started asking when else this has happened in history and someone brought up what's going on in Iraq (he said he had a brother who was just over there) and my teacher mentioned Usama BinLadin and how in the past we had helped and trained him and he knows us very well. There were several people in my class who echoed her statements. One person let out a shocked "oh" but majority knew this info already. I was going to mention about BCCI and the Carlyle group but we ran out of time. If it comes up again I know I will. I guess I was just shocked to hear her talk about him and the truth.
The class is pretty good. She goes very into details about things. And besides this is college. Lots of people echoed what she was saying and she also talked about this happening with Vietnam and WWII.
