Today's Republican talking point....
"Cheney is just devasted by this incident." They said it on the Today Show this morning...watch, now that is what the talking heads are going to be saying. They will probably try to spin that as his excuse for his "poor judgment" on how this was handled.

8. To those who invoke the Clintons ... WTF has that got to do with anything?
I don't even know if it's true. Did the Clintons find Vince Foster? How long did it take for the Medical Examiner to rule that it was suicide? You don't just go reporting something of that magnitude without having the facts.

The difference being that Cheney and company had the facts, then proceeded to distort them. They were there when it happened. The Clintons weren't there.

Why can't the Repubs let go of waving the "Clinton did this" flag? It's really so juvenile and embarrassing.

Honestly, :wtf:

Yes, I'm sure he is devastated:

"Man, this will really fuck my chances in '08!"

That's what he's devastated about.

3. What, have they already given up on...
...constantly bringing up the urban myth about Ted Kennedy and Chappaquiddick already? They were hammering that one pretty good at the beginning.

11. Actually, of all people, it'd be Cheney...
I'd bet that of all the people, Cheney is one of the one's who wouldn't actually be devastated (with guilt, remorse, concern for the one you've hurt) over it. Though, even with Cheney's cold heart and negative outlook all considered, he's probably more disturbed (although negligibly) about the harm he's caused than Chimp would be. George wouldn't experience remorse for a heartbeat... it'd be their fault entirely, and "well, hey, accident's happen... what's for breakfast?". We have, without doubt, got two sociopaths at the head of our Executive Branch. All the more reason we must resist to the very last, the notion of the Unitary Executive. They have no conscience and no human compassion.

If only the other half of the country could see, understand and believe the truth. Alas, it's beyond them. They're too deeply deluded (and probably require the surgical installation of a glass naval as well).

14. Another one: "This hasn't affected the running of the country..."
it's like...nothing to see here, move along.

(Of course, getting a BJ from an intern and not telling the truth about it didn't affect running the country either. But that didn't stop the draconian expensive investigation and impeachment of Clinton.)

17. I believe it
I really do. If I had done something really stupid and blasted one of my very old friends and there was a chance he could die I would feel horrible.
