Has Anyone Ever Been Fired from the Bush Administration for Incompetence?
Edited on Wed Feb-15-06 01:45 PM by Montagnard
No one comes to my mind and there has been plenty of gross incompetence over the last five years. It looks like the only ones being fired are those who were right. For a bunch who like to tell us that the private market is the best way to run things it seems they were asleep during any management classes.

Can you think of anyone who was fired for being wrong, or incompetent?

I would think that the person or persons who purchased the trailers and stored them in a swamp in Arkansas might be a good candidate. Not the only one, there are hundreds and hundreds that are evidently major FUps.

1. No, there have been those fired for competence
and others threatened with termination if they displayed their competence.

5. I don't think anyone has ever been fired....
Brownie resigned.
Ashcroft resigned..
Christine Todd Whitman resigned....

But I thinkit's a big fat no to "Has anyone incompetent ever been fired"!!

All of the serious career people have been pushed out due to telling the truth, performing the requirements of their jobs or not being Republican Hacks!!

17. To be fair, Whitman was resigned for actually taking her job
seriously. When appointed, she didn't realize she was there to gut the EPA.

26. You are correct....She did try to perform the job requirementments
And now she might be getting hammered because of the clean air reports that whe was forced to put out right after 9/11.

7. I don't recall anyone being fired for incompetence. Most of
the people who leave want to "spend more time with family". Of course, if you are incompetent enough, you can get a Medal of Freedom. Maybe they compete with each other for the lowest level of competence to see who gets the next medal.

11. They leave to "spend more time with their families."
But that's only if they've displeased the cabal, not the public. If the latter, they get the Medal of Freedom.

Brownie.

And some lady bureaucrat who issued visas to some of the 9/11 hijackers after the attack. They were in the pipeline and they just came out... she got fired.

That's it.

23. never mind
the first wasn't incompetence, and the latter - while incompetent, appeared to be doing bushco bidding but committed the sin of not being opaque enough (so that the public realized it was bushco intention not to really get engaged in corporate finance/disclosure reform.)
