I watched Lou Dobbs and a little bit of Tweety tonight and it was definitely the Rove talking point of the day. For example, a bit of Dobb's transcript:

BAY BUCHANAN, CNN CONTRIBUTOR: He certainly did a fine interview today, the little parts I saw. I have no problems with what Dick Cheney did. He obviously is a human -- he was a human being that night, Saturday night. He made a terrible mistake. He suffered. He was anguished. He is trying to make certain his friend was OK. I mean, this is not about him being the victim here. He was the shooter. And I think American people have a right to know what happened when the vice president of the United States shot somebody. No one's doubting that it's an accident but for him to pretend that he's the victim or we should be concerned about him -- in fact, there were reports about how he was holding up.

But that's not really the issue. The issue is what really did happen, and he's not been telling us. And the White House apparently was kept in the dark too for a good period of this time. So I think ...
