i promise. but i will say, honestly, if tammy wins, she will take the district. she is doing fine, candidate performance-wise. she is well versed, and likable. i just don't like her daddy, and think she is more a good soldier than a leader.
just a couple of highlights, from my memory-
choice- christine- no restriction of abortion, without qualification. tammy- firmly supports roe. district voters want parental notification, it will pass in this climate, she will fight for exception for rape, incest, other atypical family situations. also, no one wants delay and frist making decisions for families. (good move.) lindy- personally opposed to abortion, but supports a woman's right to choose. (sorry, i don't remember the rest. just that it was a quite a dance.)
health care- christine- medicare for all. everybody in, nobody out. (i think she may have gotten this from dr quentin young?) tammy- this is what we can do NOW- expand chips, yada yada. (i'm sorry, i don't remember too much.) lindy- canada. `
the iraq debate was good, but i can't remember it well enough, and don't want to put words in anyone's mouth. nobody said, get the f out of there now. or asked who was getting rich there, or...
some discussion of energy policy. tammy- pushing r- something, sorry, alterative fuel. christine- yeah but, this district would be a real center of good jobs from wind and solar.
a little sniping about living in the district. hmmm.
i would report more, but i am off to plant signs.
please kick. i'll report in when i get home.
