The Mindset of a Republican
This starts with a Pro-Kennedy post:

Ted Kennedy for President

Teddy has done more for the working man and woman in this country than anyone in memory. Ted Kennedy is a millionaire many times over; he does not need to fight tirelessly for increasing minimum wage. He could have any woman he wanted; he does not need to fight for women's rights. I'll take his family problems to George Bush's any day. He's no more of a drunk than Dick Cheney or Bill Weld. Remember George Bush's wife killed a man while she was driving too and George Bush drove drunk and coked up for years. Twenty-seven wrongs don't make a right, but this man has paid for his sins through unstinting public service.

Why aren't the working men and women in this country voting their economic interests instead of allowing politicians to play against their anti-gay, ANTI-POOR instincts? I wonder if Louisiana is glad they swept in an anti-gay marriage president now?

------------

re Ted Kennedy for President (Ditto-Head Dumb Dumb)

tell me how kennedys fight for minimum wage helps? every time that goes up so do prices and taxes. yup you pay taxes on a scale.. and his support of unions has crippled our economy and sent jobs elsware. his welfare has driven the cost of apartment to insane levels and his thirst for cheap domestic help has helped immagration become a tool for the most useless of the world to flood the shores.. teds service to america has been just a power role, ted still grabs a bloated salarie so he is well paid not to mention all the per diem perks.ted has a dream where he wont worry of the common man comming up in ranks and moving onto the cape. he is against a wind farm because his view will be compromised.. and he is still an irrisponcible drunkard. for president? how about charges or aiding the enemy and treason. oh and as howie carr aptly put it.. mary joe could not be reached for comment...

:wtf: You can't make this shit up....

2. It has never been proved that price increases have been caused by minimum>
wage increase.
That never stops the repuks from using as a reason but there is no proof.

I would rather ride in an automobile with Ted Kennedy than go hunting with Dead-eye Dick

3. There's so much that's wrong from the Dittohead
that we could take it apart all day!

I especially like "mary joe could not be reached for comment..." - neither can Laura Bush's high school boyfriend. Also, how does this dickhead know that Ted Kennedy has a "thirst for cheap domestic labor"?

Jeebus, why can't these people spell and punctuate?

4. No matter how poorly-paid a Reichbot is ....
... he'll do everything he can to make sure that others get paid less. Rather then put his efforts into improving his own skills (and education) and working cooperatively with others for the benefit of all, he'd rather strut and posture like some boss's man - a pathological frog in a small puddle.

For full disclosure.
I stopped being a Ted Kennedy fan since his unfortunate incident. I am old enough to remember very well what happened. I followed it closely and never fully satisfied with the outcome

I find it very difficult to see him get morally outraged since he never fully held accountable for Mary Joe's death. He made a tragic error in judgment and used his family name and power to get away from the consequences of his actions. I don't care what party he belongs to. Is he a good senator? The people of Mass have to live with him. I could not in good conscience vote for the man.

1. Ted is a drunk or was one. He is to be commended for keeping himself sober and clean.

2. I have no idea what Laura Bush has to do with Ted Kennedy. Laura Bush killed someone when she was a teenager. She didn't run away or make excuses. She didn't have a family name to make her problem go away. She wasn't drunk when it happened. She didn't leave the scene of the accident.

I like the lady despite the butt wipe she is married too. It's unfortunate to drag her name into this.

Now her former drinking coke head husband is a whole other story.

7. How do you know she was not under the influence when she
killed her boyfriend? How do you know that she did not make excuses?

The results in both cases are the same, and therefore worth comparing.

8. Not wanting to defend a bush, but
the facts of the story are relatively well know. Look them up yourself. At that time in her life, she was just a 17 year old kid from a small Texas town. Nobody special.

To compare both is to compare apples and rocks from the moon, not even on the same planet.

If you wish to defend Ted Kennedy by applying tin foil hat conspiracy theories about laura bush hey, it's a free country. Go for it.

You just won't find me excusing a person like Kennedy for his complete lack of conscience.
