Amazing that Gregory's analysis that this was a real time example of how the White House works was exactly what I told Rightie co-workers on Monday. I'm sure it was fairly obvious to everyone.

In addition, how does one explain that in fact, the story being pushed the hardest in the media was that "the press is overreacting".

I think it's the Republican majority in the American press that is spinning out of control, and that's what caused the story to be discussed so much. The Republicans in the press are shooting the more unbiased or Democrats of the press in the face, AGAIN.

Mary Matalin claims that all that slow as molasses response is just the way it is in those parts. Well I wonder, say I went quail hunting in Texas ANYWHERE and accidentally shot someone, how would I be treated?
