2. If Gore was re-elected
The now minority House Republicans are still pushing for the Impeachment of President Gore over events surrounding the August, 2001 arrest of 15 Saudi Arabian citizens and others who were allegedly planning to hijack airliners and crash them into the World Trade Center in New York City, the Pentagon, and possibly the Capitol or White House.

Republican leaders believe that the Saudis were framed and that the entire plot was fabricated.

(news from the universe where Gore never had a beard, and Spock won't)

17. Lieberman was re-elected in 2004
Gore was impeached in 2003 over his role in the arrest of 15 Saudi Arabian citizens on trumped up "terrorism" charges.

He left the White House popular with Americans but unpopular for his perceived anti-Islam bias.

Lieberman is stuck in the post-Iraqi invasion quagmire......at least he tore Abu Ghraib down......

5. Kerry would not get us out of Iraq that fast
1) WASHINGTON POST reports: The last 100 troops will be exiting Iraq leaving behind only am embassy guard and Iraqis in complete control of their country.

2) John Edwards presides over the Senate on final vote for passage of a balanced budget amendment (in view of the Bush deficit being wiped out in January).

Bush.

13) In a new CNN-Time Warner poll 83% of Americans surveyed say they are happy with their
jobs and that the economy is getting better.

1) I suspect we'd still have about 100,000 troops there at this time, and DU would start losing patience with him.

2) An amendment would not balance the budget, and the hole Bush has us in will take 5 years minimum.

3) That's way too optimistic. I'd settle for $1.50, though.

4) He may have signed the executive order, but Tennessee for same sex marriage? Not yet.

5) Why would Edwards do that with Kerry up for reelection in 2008?

6) Possibly.

7) No way.

8) Hillary doesn't want the AG's job, and the AG does not send health care legislation to the Hill.

9) Plausible

10) Maybe, but I could see those pinheads in Congress watering such a plan down to nothing.

11) Not plausible.

12) Realistic. I could see that happening.

13) Possibly.

13. With Tennessee it's possible
We do have a democratic governor who is not DLC. And in my dream world Phil Bredesen is doing well in his re-election bid and will be re-elected and will join President Kerry in DC for the same-sex marriage act.

10. Right
I suggest you would still find us embroiled in Iraq. The NSA would still be here. Gas 96 cents, you kidder, you rofl! It is just too time consuming to even consider this further, it is not even serious, are we talking about the same John Kerry, the one from Massachusetts? This is too funny, please share the great drugs, I too need to escape reality!

16. Yeah, ok, but what I would really miss in a Kerry-Edwards admin. would
be the absence of furtive, clandestine, subversive, underhandedness. I'd miss the raw lying and the refined lying and the sins of omission about foreign policy. And think of how fun it is to observe manipulation and misrepresentations in the media.

ALL THAT WOULD BE G O N E, PEOPLE. Careful what you wish for!

And of course, I'd miss Dr. Rice. She seems like such a nice person. And I think she plays the piano, too. What a gal.

Plus, don't forget, citizens would be thrown off-guard by Kerry-Edwards initiatives regarding poverty, stand of living, health care, and life-long learning. Not to mention, we'd have to grapple with the empathy factor -- they would understand the difficulties Americans face and govern accordingly -- and frankly we just aren't geared up for that sort of approach in the red states.

Also, Kerry-Edwards press conferences would be coherent, and they would actually use ENGLISH when responding to reproters' inquiries. we're not lazy mind you, but that would be a huge adjustment from the current situation. Huge.

And not least, our allies would respect us again, which would be SUCH a pain in the ass, since we'd have to re-accustom ourselves to mutual respect, diplomatic protocols, and cultural exchanges. I mean sheesh -- it would just be too much.

it is great to see you again.

If there's a particular blend of haluucinogenic compounds you know of in menu form that would result in my perception that Kerry-Edwards and not Bush-Cheney are in charge of America, please post it at once!

I need a real strong dose, too.

Happy trails to you good person.

22. What if Gore had been allowed to rightfully take office...
When do you think we would have seen this headline?

Gore declassifies documents revealing foiled terrorist attack

Today, in responee to Reupublican criticism, President Gore allowed documents to be declassified showing how members of a terrorist group known as al Qaeda attempted to highjack 747 jets and fly them into several US targets including the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. The attacks were averted by aggressive Intelligence investigations resulting in the arrest of key members of the plot.

Gore launched a cruise missile attack against an alleged "terrorist training camp" in Afghanistan which resulted in the death of a Saudi national named Osama bin Laden. This closely mirrored a similar failed attack in 1998 launched by then President Clinton, which also attracted criticism by Republicans.

Republicans scoffed at the intelligence, showing great disbelief that a terrorist group could come so close to such a coordinated attack within US borders, and also disputing the existence of al Qaeda.

"Why is Gore making up new 'terrorist threats', when we shuold be focusing on the real threat of Saddam and Iraq?" said an RNC spokesman.

so we could have had reporters crawing through Reagan/Poppy & Poppy's papers.. His funeral would have been a low-key affair instead of a weeklong griefgasm, if the public knew what was lurking in those papers..

Now we will never really know. They have had too many years to scrub them clean and top "lose" stuff. Those records are safely tucked away in Texas, where loyalty to scumbags in government has a long history

31. I wish there was some way too
I know the day that Bush was selected by the Supreme Court, I felt that I was stabbed in the back, and the day Kerry conceded, I felt as if my heart was pulled out and stepped on by *. I think the only thing that would make me feel the way I felt before the 2000 election, was if the whole * Administration & Justices Scalia ,Thomas, and Kennedy were impeached and severely punished along with the other cohorts in the stealing of both elections. I think I speak for most, and we need some sort of payback for the wrongs that these people have done to this country over the years.
