Election Fraud: TRUTH is seen as conspiracy - Exposing it is our only hope

Our biggest challenge in re-claiming this country is America's refusal to believe it is really 'that bad'. Even many 'liberals' fail to grasp the absolute breath & depth of corruption of the Bush regime.

I was in a book store the other day - I picked up 'Get this Party Started'; a book on progressives taking back the political system. And, I was beyond disappointed. The book went on about the 2004 election and the reasons WHY Bush won, and what we would have to do to win.

But, WE DIDN'T LOSE. And, the more you read about the election scandal, the more you see it wasn't that close. They stole votes throughout the fifty states to elevate the vote totals. Read 'Fooled Again' by Mark Crispin Miller and cringe. We have had TWO STOLEN PRESIDENTIAL ELECTIONS - count em - TWO. And, who knows how many stolen House & Senate races (I would bet a large sum Hackett won the Congressional seat in Ohio).

I am deeply, deeply, deeply concerned that even here on DU, people are looking to the 2006 elections to 'take back our country'. I don't believe this will happen. Why on earth wouldn't the Republicans cheat to maintain power when the President faces impeachment & possible criminal charges if the democrats regain control?

If we don't EXPOSE THE ELECTION SYSTEM THIS VERY MINUTE - FORGET ABOUT 2006. I posted the other day a way of addressing this - but I didn't get much response so I will repeat it. I believe we need to have a national coordinated grass roots campaign to educate the American public. Here is my proposal, it isn't complicated and it could be done by the early summer.

1. DU members form a group that will work on this project. I volunteer to lead the group and coordinate the process (if someone is more qualified to do this - I will gladly step aside).

2. DU members will work together to develop a curriculum that can be brought to local communities to educate the public on the election and voter fraud issues. Venues could include libraries, colleges, town halls, schools, etc. Curriculum would include the election fraud history and scope. Problems with electronic voting machines...Uneven distribution of monies and voting machines...etc...Also, what needs to be done to CHANGE it.

3. To execute this - we would need a national group. Once we get the format, documentation, and curriculum together, we solicit Moveon to garner volunteers to give the presentations across America. The curriculum would be there - all the volunteers would have to do would be to implement it. Possibly, we could do training sessions. Moveon would have money to finance it.

What do you think?

1. I like your idea and I think that you should float it by the groups that
are working on the issue already to see where they think that such a DU effort could be most helpful. Also check with the elections forum. I know that there is a DU cooperative effort around the California machines right now. Vote fraud is a critical issue that needs a lot of attention.
By the way, does anyone know what, if anything, the DLC is doing about this issue. Are they "keeping their powder dry" on this one too?

3. No one has put it together yet

I will post it on the elections forum. I don't think that the DLC is even acknowledging the problem beyond the superficial 'election reform' legislation that they can't get passed since they are the minority!

I don't believe any any national group right now is developing a grass rootseffort to educate the public beyond web-sites and books. This is where the people on the blog boards need to make the leap beyond commenting and into organizing. I think Ohio & a few other states may have groups going to educate their communities, so I guess I can start there.

I will do some investigating and let you know what I find.

Thanks

2. I share your frustration. I listened to a radio show my buddy has
and the guest went on and on about why some places are "red" and why some are "blue". But I can't get them to discuss election fraud.

AAAAaaaaaaaaaIIIIIIIIIIiiiiiiiiiiiiii!

Mom cat is right. I'd post this idea in the Elections Forum as well.
