In "Lincoln's Wrath" Neil Dahlstrom tells the story of journalist John Hodgson, whose property, including his newspaper called the Jeffersonian, was seized under the order of President Lincoln. The author, who co-wrote the book with Jeffrey Manber, explains that Mr. Hodgson's newspaper supported states' rights and white supremacy and was highly critical of the Lincoln administration. Neil Dahlstrom details John Hodgson's day in court in 1863 when he successfully recoverd over $500 in damages from the government.
