James Carville has Jumped the Shark as a Democratic Voice.
I just turned on CNN and watched him say on wolfies show " I agree with Candy Crowely in the green room who said the VP was just embarrassed to come out and make a statement about shooting his friend"!

Thanks Jim, now take a long hike with your harpy wife. :grr:

Edited on Mon Feb-20-06 05:40 PM by linazelle
on one thing, I would agree with that. Whittington has even apologized for satan's sake. This story is old news and it's been overplayed at the expense of more important issues.

8. in a rational world, i might agree with you
but in a world where everything from personnel changes (travelgate) to innocent suicide (vince forster murder) to side nookie (monicagate/impeachment) get covered non-stop throughout a popular presidency and ultimately lead to impeachment; in a world where draft-dodging cowardly liars can successfully smear their honorable medaled veteran opponents as liars and traitors; in such a world we have to keep this type of story alive.

the shoot first and cover up later attitude of this administration needs to be out there, front and center. the liberal over-reliance on "issues" needs to be checked a bit (no, not entirely) to make room for enough flash and sizzle to register with america. they're tired of being put to sleep with issues.

wrong

unblock right

they agreed that all the other crap, mentioning WMDs, secret energy meetings, things like that, had pretty much NO effect on the sheeple, BUT this shoot a guy in the face thing is kind of hard to ignore, and will resonate much more than wonky stuff with people who pay very little attention

I go along with that reading

50. right
"sticking to the issues" and taking the high road --hasn't exactly worked well as a strategy against the Neocon thugs. They need to be aggressively exposed and criticized and hounded relentlessly, in exactly the same way as they have done to liberals.

The Neocons have used liberal non-aggression and willingness to compromise, to great advantage. Liberals are going to have to fight, or at least support whoever's willing to fight these white collar criminals who have hijacked the government.

17. Can you believe that shit? Poor man can't even say what he thinks.
Sounds to me like people want us in lock step only when we agree with them. Other than that they want us to STFU.

Wouldn't any human who says they are experienced @ anything and end up hurting someone be embarrassed?

Wouldn't anyone be embarassed if they ran over their wife's feet? Accidentally shot their best friend when showing off a gun?
Accidentally shot a friend @ the gun range? Ran into their friends porch with their car?

HAS DU GONE MAD? IS it TREASON against progressive values to say that the DICK was embarrassed?

What?

DU WAKE UP! Look @ what your posting.

10. He did that YEARS ago.. It's high time we all realized that these
so-called spokespersons are in it for the MONEY, and will sell their services to the highest bidder.

Begala claims to be friends with Rove, so does Donna Brazile.. The whole DC politico-scene is an incest-fest. They are all in and out of bed with each other, and vast quantities of cash change hands faster than you can say Prince Pissypants.

The only Democrats allowed on Corporate owned mass media are "useful idiots" who do damage to thier own POV by virtue of being untelegenic and annoying to the viewer.

Could you pick someone with a more annoying voice to be the Dem spokesman that Carville? How about KAINE and his evil eyebrow? Donna Brazil? Alan Colmes? Should I go on?

32. Ha! And here I thought..
(giving James the benefit of the doubt) he was spending all his spare time
on elocution lessons. I thought, a few of the words he strung together om MTP
were the first intelligible words I've heard from him in a very long time.

Even so- his Stinger has been retired for so long, he's forgotten how, at one time,
his masterful delivery of a one liner resonated with people.

It's much ado about nothing. We already know Cheney lies and has disdain for the media. Nothing new here.

I realize there is much to be outraged about, but try to put this crap, incessant as it is, in perspective.

I'd rather the media focus on the ILLEGAL outing of Valerie plame or the ILLEGAL manipulation of intelligence to go to war. You know, something with teeth that just might lead to the collapse of this administration.
