"Pants on Fire..."

That book is really going to give Al's books a run for the money, oh yea. After listening to the author for about 2 minutes on book tv, I can see why it is so appealing.

:sarcasm:

3. Are all RW books failing now?
It kind of seems like it, but I don't know for sure. It'd probably be a good way to measure the political landscape of the country.

I saw his deal on CSPAN and agree fully, he's a complete loser.

7. What little I heard, he was mostly quoting other Air America
hosts like Mike Malloy and Randi Rhodes.

And then he talked about Al calling Limbawls names, calling * names.

I think he forgot the subtitle of his book, or just doesn't think too well.

;)

11. "good way to measure the political landscape of the country"
Sadly, I have to disagree. It would only be a good measure of the political landscape of those who read books. And though I don't have any evidence to back it up, I have a feeling that's a shockingly low percentage of the population.

13. I wouldn't even consider the readers of RW trash "people who read books"
They're a sub-category of the normal book buying public, and probably just buy the books to show them off on the coffee table. If they're suddenly not buying RW books, there must be a reason. The content hasn't really changed all that much.

5. un be frickin lieve able
here's a clip of one positive review from Amazon that typifies the moranskis that like the book, answering another reviewer:

''Your discussion of the O'Reilly Peabody issue highlights a quote from Robert Reno which basically dismisses the Peabody as a worthless award. But to accept that premise would render the entire issue as moot. From Reno's point of view, lying about a Peabody is no more meaningful than lying about the color of your toothbrush. Consequently, lying about a Peabody would do little to malign one's overall credibility.''

so lying about the Peabody is OK if somebody else denigrates it. If it's such a nonentity, then why did OReilly BRAG about getting one?

I see your comment was to the same post I'd responded to, which post mentioned his toothbrush.

So never mind.
